Film studio to register on market
Pinewood said yesterday it planned to raise an unspecified sum of money on listing to refinance debt and fund growth. Some of its shareholders, including 60% stakeholder 3i Group and 10% owner Intermediate Capital Group, also plan to sell shares into the flotation.
The firm’s studios, on the outskirts of London, boast 36 stages and back-lots, along with digital television studio facilities, audio post production and production support services. Work on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the next Harry Potter film is currently being carried out there.
