Nugent named as ITAA chief

THE Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) has appointed Simon Nugent as its new chief executive.

Mr Nugent, a former head of the Chambers of Commerce of Ireland, will join the Association at the beginning of September.

“I relish the challenge of working with ITAA travel agents. Holidaymakers and business travellers need both good advice and a strong consumer voice in the complex world of international travel,” Mr Nugent said yesterday.
