Ardagh in €72m Rexam deal

ARDAGH GLASS has bought the British glass business of packaging giant Rexam for £50 million (€72m.)

Based in Barnsley in Yorkshire, the business employs 700.

In 2004, it made operating profits of £3m on sales of £101m last year.
