China’s a distraction from US problems

IN the oil debate, fingers are pointing accusingly at China’s growing appetite for the black gold.

In another context economists are convinced, particularly those in America, that if China revalued its yuan, the huge competitive advantages being enjoyed by the world’s most highly populated economy would start to evaporate.

Those are the knee jerk views.
