Cemex granted takeover waiver

The Irish Takeover Panel has granted a waiver to Mexican cement company Cemex which means it will not be obliged to mount a full takeover bid for Irish cement group Readymix.

Cemex had asked the panel for the waiver as part of its takeover of British cement and building materials giant RMC, which owns a 61.9% stake in Readymix.
