Shares in Irish market slip

SHARES in the Irish market slipped for the second day with AIB going ex-dividend and nervous investors selling Elan. The ISEQ Index fell 12.36 points to 7915.94 at the closing bell.

Shares in Irish market slip

The financial sector gave up 67.82 points overall as AIB went ex-dividend and paid 42.3c per share to shareholders, ending the day at €19.67.

In construction, CRH firmed 15c to €27.61 while Grafton rose 7c to €10.37. On the losing side, Kingspan gave up 21c to €11.91.
