Abbey announce strong first half performance

ABBEY GROUP’S solid first half performance has elicited a strong endorsement of the group from Davy Stockbrokers, who are brokers to the company.

Involved in house building in Ireland and house building and plant hire in the UK, Abbey on Thursday announced first half profits to end October 2002 that rose an impressive 45%.

Strict cost control and a boost of 35% in total sales to 85m provided the engine for strong growth over the period.
