Tate & Lyle stake sold for €315m

Tate & Lyle, Europe’s largest sugar-cane refiner, said its biggest shareholder, Compagnie Industrielle et Financiere des Produits Amylaces, sold its 10% stake for €315 million.

Some 48.35 million shares were sold at 650.4 cents apiece, London-based Tate said. That’s less than the stock’s 686.6 cents closing price a day earlier in London.

The investors who bought the shares weren’t identified.
