HP to invest €1m in research facility

HEWLETT-PACKARD (HP) is to invest over €1 million in establishing an all-island centre of excellence for research into the uses of IT in education at its Belfast premises.

The European Education Research and Innovation Centre (EERIC) will involve HP’s key industry partners like Intel, Cisco Systems and Microsoft.

It will investigate how current and emerging technologies can be applied to education, in conjunction with education bodies in the North.
