Dunnes plans to open new shops

DUNNES STORES is reportedly set for a major expansion.

The move, which will cost the company €300 million, will see 24 new shops opened this year in Limerick, Drogheda, Dundalk, Navan, Ballincollig, Blessington, Maynooth, Ashbourne, Balbriggan and Rathdowney. A further 12 are planned next year.

Dunnes last month headhunted Eoin McGettigan, former Musgraves boss, to be its director of food.
