Kearys profits increase by €5m

CAR dealer Kearys of Cork saw profits surge in its last financial year by more than €5 million.

The company’s coffers were boosted after the sale of its car hire business, which netted €2.5m and the sale of a fixed asset which yielded a further €3m.

Accounts just filed for the company, for the year to end July 2004, show pre-tax profits of €7.3m from €1.7m the previous year.
