Benchmark takes Codemasters stake

VENTURE capital group Benchmark has announced the acquisition of a 40% stake in Codemasters, a British computer game developer.

The company has produced top-selling car racing and sports games and topped the games sales charts 60 times.

Benchmark’s European division manages two investment funds worth a total of $875 million (€668 million) and has stakes in Irish payments company Alphyra and British online betting exchange Betfair.
