Newcomer C&C finishes at €2.26

EUROPEAN markets were lower yesterday and the ISEQ index followed, falling 13.84 points to 5161.77.

Newcomer C&C finishes at €2.26

New to the market was the drink and snacks group C&C, which includes Bulmer’s cider and Tayto crisps. The stock traded as low as €2.20 in early trading before finishing at €2.26.

Travel and tourism stocks lost ground, with Jurys Doyle Hotel Group 25c softer at €9.80. Ferry operator Irish Continental Group shed 20c and Ryanair gave up 12c to €4.48. The financials were also weaker, with Anglo Irish Bank losing 20c; Bank of Ireland easing 15c, while Allied Irish Bank closed at €12.00, down 8c. Paddy Power was up 5c to €9.45.
