Network training initiative launched

THE IASC Skillnet, a business network training initiative, has been launched by outgoing Marine Minister Pat the Cope Gallagher.

Skillnet, the state-sponsored body, dedicated to the promotion and facilitation of enterprise-led training networks, has approved over €178,000 in funding to the IASC Skillnet, whose membership comprises Irish companies involved in the seafood sector, be they fish processors, wholesalers or retailers.

Additional funding of over €70,000 to support the training programme comes from the 60 member companies of the Skillnet, bringing the total training investment to €250,000 for 2006/07.
