Administrator sues bank for €290m

The administrator appointed by the Italian government to restructure dairy giant Parmalat SpA filed a lawsuit yesterday against UBS AG seeking to recover €290 million from the Swiss bank.

The lawsuit, filed in Parma, follows a similar suit filed last week in the US charging that Citigroup Inc actively helped Parmalat managers engage in fraud involving at least $8 billion.
