ESB scheme to cut business costs

ESB National Grid, which operates the country’s network of power lines, will host a series of workshops around the country next month to promote its scheme to cut business electricity costs.

The scheme offers discounts on electricity bills for businesses that agree to reduce their demand for power over the winter months. Businesses which took part last year received average discounts of €11,000.

The half-day seminars will take place in Cork, Waterford, Limerick, Sligo, Dundalk and Dublin.
