Average wedding costs €22,500

THE modern Irish bride and groom invite, on average, 158 guests to their wedding and they spend an average €8,500 on their reception.

The average spend on their wedding, including honeymoon, but excluding the engagement ring, is now €22,500

Meanwhile, at a dinner held at Clontarf Castle, television personality Caroline Morahan revealed the winners and presented the awards to the first recipients of the Weddings Irish Style Awards.
