ClubTel targeting GAA supporters with cheaper rates

A NEW phone company planning to target GAA supporters for customers says its fixed line call rates are up to 30% cheaper than Eircom.

ClubTel says it will offer guaranteed cheaper call rates than Eircom and was looking to sign up 80,000 residential or small business customers north and south of the border.

The company’s managing director Alan Falsey said the incentive for the country’s 1.2 million GAA supporters is not only the cheaper charges, but it will give up to 10% of its revenues to football and hurling clubs across the country to help the development of the sport in return for signing up.
