ISEQ moves higher for second day
The financials were quiet with AIB up 1c to €12.97, rivals Bank of Ireland 3c higher at €10.93 while Anglo-Irish surrendered 5c to close at €13.50. Irish Life & Permanent firmed to €12.35 ahead of next week’s results.
Drug group Elan posted a 33c gain following a bout of early profit taking. In construction, market leaders CRH strengthened 16c to €18.95 ahead of next Tuesday’s interim results. Heiton and Grafton slipped 3c and 4c. Ryanair was the main laggard on the market dropping 5c to €4.35. Independent News and Media climbed 2c.
