McCANN ERICKSON swept the boards for its Heineken and Coca-Cola campaigns at last night’s advertising industry Oscars.

The 45th Institute of Creative Advertising and Design (ICAD) Awards ceremony, held in Dublin’s Irish Film Institute, saw McCann Erickson pick up seven gold bells, the industry’s highest accolade for TV ads, advertising photography and outdoor poster campaigns.

Among the advertisements that found favour with the judges was the campaign for the Heineken Green Energy Festival, which took place over the May Bank Holiday weekend in Dublin. The campaign featured a spoof documentary of an up-and-coming rock band of limited ability. McCann Erickson also won praise for its outdoor poster campaign for Coca-Cola
