Smurfit in €300m securitisation deal

Packaging company Jefferson Smurfit Group plans a €300 million securitisation using trade receivables in September, a source close to the deal said yesterday.

“The deal should have a maturity of seven years,” the source said.

He added that the issue will target European investors, and Jefferson Smurfit is looking for long-term funding.
