BA baggage staff to vote on strike
Unions last week rejected a pay offer from the airline.
About 8,000 workers will take part in the strike ballot, the union said.
“The people who are delivering for BA on the ground are working flat out but standing still on pay,” union secretary Brendan Gold said.
BA said in January it plans to reduce employee costs by ÂŁ300m over two years through productivity increases, manpower reductions and modest pay raises. The airline shed 13,000 jobs in the past two years.
