Waterford sets date for EGM

The meeting is expected to approve technical motions in relation to the company’s proposed €100 million rights issue, which will fund a restructuring programme aimed at shedding 1,800 jobs across the group.

The issue will be fully underwritten by the company’s major shareholders, Tony O’Reilly and Peter Goulandris.
