Millionaire builds up stake in hotel

MILLIONAIRE property developer Sean Dunne has built up a €37 million stake in hotel group Jurys Doyle.

Mr Dunne, who recently struck a €260 million deal to buy the chain’s site in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4, told the stock exchange he had bought almost 3.4% of the company yesterday.

Precinct Investments, owner of the rival Gresham group, has indicated it is prepared to pay €1.1 billion for the group.
