Pension fund trustees fined for failing to provide scheme information

The Pensions Board said it had brought proceedings against the trustees of AML Pension Scheme for failing to make documents, including the annual report for the scheme to the year to end April, 2003, available to the members of the fund and the authorised trade union representing the members within the time limit specified in the regulations.

The court fined the trustees E5,000 and awarded the Pensions Board costs of E2,400. The court took into consideration similar offences committed in previous years when imposing the fine.
