Irishman takes over at Xilinx

US multinational Xilinx has appointed an Irishman as chief information officer.

Kevin Cooney, 45, is a senior director of the company’s information technology (IT) and business development department in Europe Xilinx said Mr Cooney will continue as a member of the board of directors for Xilinx Ireland, and will run global IT operations from its European HQ in Dublin.
