Interbrew to sell Bass brewery

Belgian brewing giant Interbrew said yesterday it aimed to find a buyer for its manufacturing facility at the Bass Ireland brewery in Belfast.

The sale process will be concluded by September, Interbrew said, adding the facility will be closed if no buyer can be found.

A successful sale would include a long-term supply contract with Interbrew UK to brew and package beer for the markets in Ireland.
