Aer Lingus to buy two A330 aircraft

AER LINGUS has announced the completion of an agreement with Airbus for the purchase of two long-haul A330 aircraft that will be used for new routes in anticipation of bilateral changes.

Dermot Mannion, Aer Lingus chief executive and Airbus executive Christopher Buckley signed the agreement at Dublin Airport yesterday.

Mr Mannion said: “This purchase is an important step. It demonstrates our commitment to developing and enhancing our long haul network with the most efficient aircraft in its class, as well as offering further choice and destinations to our customers.”
