Kenmare Resources post $71,000 profit

Kenmare Resources made a pre-tax profit of $71,000 (€59,000) for the first six months of the year, the exploration company said yesterday.

This compared with a $221,000 loss in the same period last year.

Chairman Charles Carvill said the profit was due to foreign exchange gains and interest earned on cash balances.
