FIFTY jobs will be lost following the closure of the Thorsman Ireland plant in Drogheda, Co Louth.

The company has manufactured cable clips and installation materials in the town since 1976 but its parent, Schneider Electric, will shift production to Sweden and Latvia as part of a restructuring programme.
