Record business worth at ICON

ICON, the Dublin-headquartered and Nasdaq-listed clinical research specialist, has reported record levels of net new business worth $140m (€115.95m) during the second quarter of its financial year.

Net revenues for the three-month period to the end of November rose 11% to $88.1m (€73m) from the same period last year and have shown a 10% increase on a year-to-date basis.

Chairman Dr John Climax expected revenues for the year ending December 31, 2006 to be $380-400m (€315-330m).
