Siemens wins €2.7bn BBC deal

Siemens has won an outsourcing contract from the BBC worth €2.7 billion and will acquire the broadcaster’s IT unit, BBC Technology.

Neither company would reveal the purchase price but an industry source familiar with the situation said it was in the “triple-digit millions” of euros.

The BBC said it would reveal the price in a regulatory filing in the first week of December.
