Postage rates set for price increase

RATES for certain postal services are set to increase for the second time in 14 years, following a decision by the Commission for Communications Regulation (ComReg) in December.

Postage rates set for price increase

The 48c standard postage rate remains unchanged for letters up to 50g. This rate covers almost half of all mail posted in Ireland.

From February 20, postage on items (letters, large envelopes, packets and parcels) weighing 50g-100g will increase to 60c, 90c and €2 and €6 respectively. An airmail rate of 75c will apply to letters up to 50g going to international destinations.
