Walsh Western expands in Britain

Irish logistics company Walsh Western International (WWI) has invested €2.5 million in a new premises in Coventry to cater for a 40% increase in business volumes in the first two quarters of 2004.

The company opened a 52,000 square feet facility in the city in June but has since added a 100,000 square feet extension that will bring the total staff level to 200.

Managing director Phil Cocking said: “the extension will result in a considerable improvement in our capacity and provide us with a solid base from which we will be able to significantly enhance our services.”
