Greenstar acquires recycling company

WASTE management company Greenstar has completed the acquisition of Seamus Kelly & Sons, a Wexford-based waste and recycling company.

Chief executive Steve Cowman said the company planned to spend up to €100 million on acquisitions, joint ventures and partnerships this year.

It bought seven companies between 2000 and 2003 and has successfully integrated then under the Greenstar brand.

The Kelly business has over 10,000 domestic and business customers and recycles 15,000 tonnes of waste each year.
