Financials drive market forward

THE ISEQ index had another positive day yesterday with the financials contributing strongly.

The Dublin market closed up 91.40 points to 6729.26

The Banks led the charge, leader AIB adding 20c to €17.85. Rival Bank of Ireland increased in value by 6c to €13.75. Anglo-Irish jumped 40c to €10.90 and Irish Life & Permanent climbed 10c to €14.50.
