Bosses, workers cash in with €100 gift vouchers

EMPLOYERS can give their workers €100 in gift vouchers without having to pay benefit-in-kind (BIK) tax.

According to the Gift Voucher Shop, employers across the country could give the vouchers to their staff without having to worry about making returns to the Revenue Commissioners.

Since the beginning of the year PAYE, PRSI and health contributions must be operated by employers regarding the taxable value of most benefits-in-kind and other non-cash benefits provided for their employees.
