Dunne deal richest in State’s history

PROPERTY developer Sean Dunne has won the fierce battle to buy hotel operator Jurys Doyle’s prestigious five-acre Ballsbridge site in Dublin.

But at a price of €260m it comes as the most expensive land deal in Irish property history at over €50m an acre.

The site fronts on to Pembroke Road and Lansdowne Road in Dublin’s most fashionable residential area, where house prices can run to over €10m.
