Dyke in line to head up Endemol

FORMER BBC director-general Greg Dyke is in talks that could lead to him running the company behind the Big Brother series, it was reported yesterday.

Mr Dyke is thought to have been approached to head up Endemol which also brought Fame Academy, Ready Steady Cook and Ground Force to our television screens ahead of a €1.69 billion planned flotation later this year.

He was said by the Sunday Telegraph to be in talks with Endemol's Spanish owner, telecoms giant Telefonica.
