The station is aimed at the 15-34-year-old demographic. The new licence will cover Kerry, Limerick and Clare as well as parts of Laois and Tipperary.

Denis O’Brien’s Communicorp Group - which owns Dublin’s 98FM and Spin and has stakes in Newstalk and East Coast Radio - is the latest potential suitor linked with the licence.
