Major digital contract for Vislink

VISLINK PLC said it won a £15.8m (€23m) contract from a North American provider of wireless communication services to build digital broadcasting equipment.

The contract was awarded to Vislink’s Microwave Radio Communications unit in the US, the Hungerford, England-based company said today in a Regulatory News Service statement.

The agreement “is expected to generate incremental revenues for MRC this year and also for 2006 and 2007,” Vislink chief executive Ian Scott-Gall said.

Vislink’s shares have fallen 3% over the past year to 28.25p, giving the company a market value of £34.4m (€50.1).
