An initiative from Ireland’s hi-tech sector has created almost 200 jobs for unemployed graduates with qualifications in computer/engineering related disciplines.

The industry led initiative was a direct response to the fall off in interest by students at both second and third level in computer and science based subjects.

ICT Ireland, the industry body representing the hi-tech sector, is launching the “ICT Ireland Graduate Placement Programme” for a second year.
