Northern banks charges row

NORTHERN banks are still billing their customers for millions of pounds in charges they could avoid, it was claimed yesterday.

Alliance & Leicester said customers were paying up to £23.2 million a year in unnecessary bank charges to the Big 4 - Northern, Ulster, Bank of Ireland and First Trust.
