Meteor wins N4 road phone deal

METEOR has confirmed that it has been successful in its bid to provide the emergency phone service for the N4 Kinnegad-Kilcock Motorway, the first National Roads Authority (NRA) public-private partnership motorway project undertaken in Ireland.

Awarded by Eurolink Motorway, the contract involves the provision of 40 Meteor SIM cards, which will be installed in purpose-built emergency phones distributed over 36 kilometres of motorway.

Meteor beat competition from Vodafone and O2, to be awarded the contract.
