WORKERS in Cork and Kerry are the most productive but Dubliners have more money to spend.

Cork and Kerry workers top for productivity

The Central Statistics Office's latest County Incomes and Regional GDP statistics cover the year 2002 and show that while the disposable income of people in Dublin is far greater that the rest of the State, the gap continues to close.

Workers in the South West are the most productive in the State generating wealth of €38,558 per year for each person in the region with workers in the Midlands (Laois, Longford, Offaly and Westmeath) generating just €18,565 per person.
