Gaz de France to sell shares

Gaz de France, the state-owned gas distributor, wants to sell shares on the stock market as soon as possible after its status is changed to a corporations, chief executive Pierre Gadonneix has said.

The government presented a draft bill to parliament last week to change the GDF’s statutes, along with those of electricity producer Electricite de France.
