IBM aims to boost sales in China

International Business Machines Corp (IBM), the world’s largest computer maker, said it will increase spending on mainframe-computer products to boost sales in China.

IBM will open a mainframe laboratory in China and quadruple the staff there to help businesses deploy the powerful machines that run corporate networks, the company said. IBM also will help Chinese universities develop courses on its mainframes and appoint an executive to educate government and businesses.
