Financials lead market slip

The ISEQ Index fell again yesterday as the financials dragged the market down. The Dublin Exchange closed 21.55 points down at 7820.65.

AIB lost ground compounding the previous day’s decline, 20c to €18.55. Bank of Ireland shed 12c to €14.68 while Anglo Irish gained 10c to close at €13.01.

CRH fell 20c to €28.00 while Grafton slipped back 14c to €10.44. Kingspan rounded off a negative day for the sector closing 11c lighter at €12.80. Ryanair named nine new routes from its Frankfurt base, including its first African destination - Marrakesh, Morocco. The stock fell 13c to €7.25 on the day.
