French industrial production rises

French industrial production increased for the fourth time in six months in February, suggesting rising exports and investment are fueling a recovery from the slowest growth in a decade.

Industrial production, which accounts for a fifth of French gross domestic product, rose 0.8% from January, when it fell a revised 0.7%, government statistics office Insee said.

“We are probably not far now from the recovery in the aerospace industry,’ said Philippe Camus, co-chief executive officer of European Aeronautic Defense & Space Co. “That will come mainly from and especially due to Asian growth.’
