ICOS backs Dairygold board

ICOS, the umbrella body for the country’s co-ops, has called on the members of Dairygold to fully support proposed amendments to the society at tomorrow’s special general meeting in Mallow.

Donal Cashman, president, and John Tyrrell, director general, issued the call yesterday as plans went ahead for the meeting which will be held in conjunction with the co-op’s annual general meeting.

Shareholders known as the Option B Group have called on members to reject the rule changes. They have also announced their intention to move a motion of no confidence in the board at the AGM and have them removed from office.
